As we complete a successful year as an Association and Regiment a heartfelt thanks goes out to all who have made their contributions and enabled us to continue to support and defend our nation. This success can also be attributed to our Association members' collaborative work and efforts with other organizations to include : the USAWC Peacekeeping & Stability Operations Institute (PKSOI), the National Defense University, the USA JFK Special Warfare Center and Civil Affairs school, the International Peace and Security Institute, the Foreign Area Officer Association, the Alliance for Peacebuilding, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and the Association of the United States Army.
The momentum that has been gained through our programs in 2017 serves as a springboard to build upon for 2018 and beyond. In order to be successful we have three major priorities to be addressed in 2018:
1. Increase membership of both our Marine and Army unit members and their involvement in our programs.
2. The expansion of our outreach program to new organizations who wish to assist and collaborate in our mission of promoting Civil Affairs.
3. The expansion of our quality educational symposiums and round-table forums and our new media programs.
As we approach the holiday season let's not forget those serving in distant places and support them for their efforts to keep us safe. Your letters and donations to supporting programs such as the USO and others mean a lot.
Wishing you and your families the best of the holidays and New Year! "Secure The Victory!" Joe Kirlin President The Civil Affairs Association
